Iran accuses America of violating the ceasefire and vows to retaliate for the attack on the ship.

The Iranian General Staff accused the United States of violating the ceasefire by attacking an Iranian commercial vessel in the Gulf of Oman, and vowed to retaliate.

 

State media quoted a spokesman for the Iranian General Staff operations as saying on Sunday that the ship was en route from China to Iran.

The spokesman stated, "We warn that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon respond and take revenge for this armed piracy committed by the US military."
