On behalf of the Minister of Culture, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ahmad, Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture, inaugurated the activities of the “Comprehensive Cultural Day” which was launched today, Saturday, at the Royal Cultural Center under the slogan “Read, Think, Create”.
The opening ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Senator Haifa Al-Najjar, with the participation of a select group of writers, thinkers, artists and craftsmen.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al-Ahmad emphasized the historical value of the Royal Cultural Center, which has completed fifty years of giving as an incubator for the political, intellectual and cultural scene, and its role in strengthening the national identity.
He explained that this cultural day represents an open space that brings together all kinds of arts and knowledge, and aims to enrich the Jordanian cultural scene through the participation of a constellation of creative people.
Al-Ahmad stressed that the lofty goals of this activity go beyond mere presentation, to deepen the tools of rational dialogue based on knowledge and acceptance of the other.
He also pointed out that culture, in its comprehensive sense, is not limited to literature and traditional arts, but is a reflection of the nation’s spirit, traditions, and human values.
He stressed that the ministry seeks, through these programs, to make culture a “daily habit,” a societal need, and a driver of production, with a particular focus on the family, child, and youth to highlight their talents and unleash their creative energies.
On the sidelines of the opening, attendees toured the exhibition and bazaar area, which embodied the diversity of the Jordanian cultural scene and contributed to promoting innovation and cooperation among segments of society through workshops in handicrafts and creative industries.
At the forefront of the intellectual sessions, the conference hall witnessed an extensive seminar entitled “Education, Jordan and the Future: The Role of Reading in Raising Children within the Educational System,” where Dr. Rana Dajani moderated a dialogue with Her Excellency Senator Haifa Najjar, about educational visions aimed at strengthening the connection with books and developing reading skills among emerging generations as a cornerstone for the future.

The main stage hosted theatrical performances for children, sessions on book marketing, reading scientific research, the impact of “manga and anime”, digital partnerships with Wikipedia, and the making of an influential personality.
The circular theater witnessed dialogues about mental health in the novel, story readings for young people, workshops on self-discovery and creative writing, and experiences of volunteer teams.
