Jordan and Qatar stress the need to adhere to the ceasefire in Gaza and fully implement its terms.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi held extensive talks in Doha today with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, focusing on bilateral issues and developments in the region.

Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed affirmed the depth and strength of the long-standing fraternal relations between Jordan and Qatar, and the shared commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation prospects between the two countries in various fields.

They also discussed regional developments and the situation in Gaza, where they stressed the need to adhere to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and fully implement its provisions, to allow sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid into the Strip without obstacles, to move towards the second phase of the agreement, and to link the achievement of stability to a clear political horizon. They also stressed the need to end the dangerous Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank.

Both sides agreed to maintain coordination regarding the development of bilateral cooperation and issues of common interest.
