The Constitutional Court rejects a challenge to the constitutionality of an article in the Personal Status Law.

The Constitutional Court rejected an appeal against the constitutionality of Article 191 of the Personal Status Law No. 15 of 2019 due to the failure to meet the formal conditions related to the power of attorney.
The court explained in its decision issued today, Thursday, that the rejection of the appeal submitted regarding the unconstitutionality of Article (191) of the law came as a result of not observing the formal conditions in submitting the appeal regarding unconstitutionality due to the invalidity of the power of attorney on which the appellant relied for the purposes of the plea of unconstitutionality.
She added that the agency did not include authorizing the agent to submit the plea of unconstitutionality, and therefore the appeal is submitted by someone who does not have the right to submit it.
