Coach Salami confirms the readiness of the Jordanian national team for the Asian Cup.

The coach of the Jordanian national football team, Captain Jamal Salami, affirmed that the responsibility he holds with “Al-Nashama” is “a duty, not an honor,” stressing that the team has the ambition and capabilities to go as far as possible in the 2027 Asian Cup hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Salami’s remarks came during his attendance at the tournament draw ceremony in the capital, Riyadh, on Saturday, where he expressed his pride in participating in the historic achievement of the national team in qualifying for the World Cup finals, considering that this reflects a clear vision, commitment and perseverance in work.

Salami said that the Jordanian public constitutes the “12th player” in the national team’s journey, stressing that the support of the fans is a fundamental element in the journey of “Al-Nashama” during the upcoming events, whether in the Asian Cup or the World Cup.

He pointed out that the national team has benefited from past experiences and has become more capable of competing in continental events, stressing that work is continuing in order to present the best possible image of Jordanian football in the next stage.

The Jordanian national team is preparing to compete in the 2027 Asian Cup with high ambitions, given the clear development in the team's level during recent years, and its endeavor to consolidate its presence among the top teams in the Asian continent.
