In pictures… Dr. Al-Hourani sponsors Innovation Day at Al-Ahliyya Amman University with the participation of pioneering and technological companies
Yesterday, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, sponsored the Innovation Day activities organized by the Faculty of Information Technology at the university, on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the faculty, with wide participation from pioneering and technology companies and institutions specializing in the fields of technology and digital transformation.
The event was attended by a number of college deans and members of the teaching and administrative staff, in addition to a large crowd of university students and those interested in the technology and innovation sector.
During his speech at the opening of the event, Dr. Al-Hourani affirmed that Al-Ahliyya Amman University continues to support the path of innovation and scientific research, based on its belief in the importance of investing in youth energies, and enabling students to develop their ideas and turn them into entrepreneurial projects capable of keeping pace with global technological transformations and serving the community.
He pointed out that the College of Information Technology has been able, over the course of twenty-five years, to consolidate its academic and scientific position, by graduating distinguished talents who have proven their presence in various technical sectors at the local and regional levels.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Qatawneh, explained that Innovation Day comes within the framework of the college’s vision aimed at promoting an educational environment that stimulates creativity and innovation, and building effective partnerships with the technology sector, which contributes to refining students’ skills and linking them to the requirements of the labor market.
He added that the college is keen to keep pace with the rapid developments in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, through developing its academic programs and organizing scientific and applied activities that enhance students’ innovative capabilities.
The event included presentations and specialized discussions covering the latest developments in information technology, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, as well as showcasing innovative technological experiences and initiatives presented by participating companies and institutions.
The event provided a platform for interaction and exchange of experiences between students, specialists and pioneers in the technology sector, which enhances the culture of innovation and supports digital transformation trends in various fields.
