Trump: Ceasefire extended until Iran presents a proposal and talks conclude

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he would extend the ceasefire with Iran until an Iranian proposal is presented and talks are concluded.
Trump added that he had instructed the US armed forces to continue the blockade and remain on high alert, emphasizing their ability to act.
He noted that he had asked the United States to postpone its attack on Iran until its leaders and representatives could present a unified proposal.
The US president said: “Based on the sharp divisions in Iran and the wishes of Pakistan’s army chief and prime minister, we postponed our attack.”
Pakistan had urged the United States and Iran to extend their two-week ceasefire, according to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.
The statement said that Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stressed during a meeting with the US Chargé d'Affaires in Pakistan, Natalie A. Baker, the need for communication between the United States and Iran, adding that Pakistan urged both sides to discuss extending the ceasefire.
