
The draw for the AFC Asian Cup “Saudi Arabia 2027” was held today, Saturday, in Diriyah, located on the northwestern outskirts of the capital, Riyadh, specifically at Salwa Palace, a prominent historical landmark.
The draw for the 24 teams resulted in the following six groups:
Group 1: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine.
Group Two: Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Jordan.
Group 3: Iran, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, China
Group D: Australia, Tajikistan, Iraq, Singapore
Group Five: South Korea, UAE, Vietnam, Lebanon or Yemen.
Group Six: Japan, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia.
The 19th edition of the continental championship will begin on December 7 and continue until February 5, 2027, with Saudi Arabia hosting the tournament for the first time in its history.
The final spot will be decided between Lebanon and Yemen, who will meet on June 4, 2026 to determine who qualifies.
