Today, the Azm Party participated in the massive march that started from the vicinity of the Al-Husseini Mosque in the center of the Jordanian capital, Amman, to commemorate the Nakba, with wide participation from party members from various governorates of the Kingdom and with a broad popular presence from various national and youth activities.
The participants raised Jordanian and Palestinian flags and banners affirming support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and adherence to legitimate historical rights, in addition to emphasizing the Hashemite custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
During the participation, party representatives affirmed that the Nakba anniversary will remain a national and patriotic milestone to reaffirm the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, return, and the establishment of their independent state, stressing the importance of Arab unity in confronting the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.
The Secretary-General of the party, Engineer Zaid Naffa, said that the participation of the Azm Party in this national gathering comes as a confirmation of the party’s firm principles regarding the Palestinian cause, and its rejection of all attempts to displace or liquidate the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, adding: “The Palestinian cause will remain in the conscience of Jordanians and Arabs, and the Hashemite custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites will remain a symbol of defending the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem, and a matter of national consensus that we are all proud of.”
The participating party members also expressed their pride in the steadfast Jordanian position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting the Palestinian cause and defending the holy sites in the city of Jerusalem.
