MP Dima Tahboub described the draft general budget law for fiscal year 2026 as a deflationary budget, not a development budget.
Tahboub said during her speech during the discussion of the draft general budget for the fiscal year 2026, that the citizen needs economic remedies to see the impact on his life now, not years later, and this is what is absent from the current budget.
She explained that the debt service is still paying off the debt with “debt,” and the catastrophe is that this debt is used to finance salaries and not development projects.
She pointed out that the Jordanian per capita share of public debt amounts to 5500 dinars annually.
