
With the support of the Jordan Tourism Board, and in light of the security, safety and stability that Jordan enjoys, a charter plane coming from France, carrying 105 French tourists, landed at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman yesterday afternoon, Sunday, April 19, 2026, which coincides with World Heritage Day. The flight was organized by Atelier Voyages.
The Director General of the Authority, Ramzi Al-Maayta, confirmed that the arrival of this charter flight from the French market is a positive indicator of the recovery of inbound tourism to the Kingdom, and confirms Jordan’s ability to regain its position on the global tourism map. He pointed out that the Authority is working in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and all partners to revitalize tourism by implementing marketing plans and a support program for charter and low-cost flights in a flexible manner that responds to market changes and enhances the competitiveness of the Jordanian tourism product as an integrated tourist destination, with a focus on diversifying target markets and attracting more quality flights during the next stage.
He added that attracting these direct charter flights from key tourist markets and the return of confidence in the Jordanian tourism market is an indication of the intensive marketing efforts made by the Authority in cooperation with partners in the public and private sectors.
The charter flight team at the Authority received the group of French tourists through the French company and its agent in Jordan, Plaza Tours, where they provided an explanation about the most prominent tourist experiences that Jordan enjoys, and the importance of the sites that their visit will include within their program in the Kingdom, stressing the Authority’s keenness to enhance the tourist experience and the quality of services and to present a comprehensive image of Jordan as a safe tourist destination rich in diversity, authentic hospitality and Jordanian World Heritage sites.
A number of French tourists within the tourist group also expressed their love for Jordan and its people and confirmed their enjoyment of the tourist experience in Jordan.

A charter flight from France carrying 105 French tourists arrived at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman on Sunday, April 19, 2026, coinciding with World Heritage Day, with support from the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB). The trip was organized by Atelier Voyages.
The group will spend six nights in Jordan, visiting a selection of the Kingdom's key attractions, including Petra, the Baptism Site, and other destinations across the country. The itinerary concludes with departure from King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba.

The arrival of direct charter flights from key European markets reflects growing confidence in Jordan's tourism sector and underscores the impact of coordinated promotional efforts between the public and private sectors.
Upon arrival, the JTB charter flights team welcomed the French delegation and introduced them to Jordan's diverse tourism experiences, highlighting the significance of the sites included in their program.
