Tourism revenue reached $1.65 billion during the first quarter of 2026, a decrease of 3.8% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

Data from the Central Bank of Jordan revealed a 3.8% decrease in tourism revenue in Jordan during the first quarter of 2026, amounting to $1.65 billion, compared to $1.72 billion during the same period in 2025.

The data showed a decline in tourism revenue during March by 5.4% to reach $410 million, affected by a decrease in revenue from tourists of various nationalities by 20.3%, with the exception of Arabs who recorded an increase of 12.1%.

The figures also showed an increase in tourism revenue from Europeans by 20.1%, Asians by 4.7%, and Americans by 1.2%, compared to a decrease from Jordanian expatriates by 10.1%, Arabs by 2.2%, and other nationalities by 24.0%.

In the same context, Jordanian tourism spending abroad decreased by 6.3% to reach $459.7 million, which led to a decline in net tourism income by 2.8% to record $1.19 billion.
