
The total number of overnight tourists and day visitors during the past two months of January and February reached 1,094,670 tourists and visitors, of whom 592,206 were Arabs, which is a percentage of 54% of the total number.
According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, the number of overnight tourists and day visitors during the past two months of January and February decreased by 3.6% compared to the same period in 2025, as the number in the same period last year reached 1,136,084.
Detailed data on the total number of Arabs shows that the number of overnight tourists reached 477,882, while the number of day visitors reached 151,244, during the months of January and February 2025. The number of overnight tourists during the months of January and February of this year reached 448,973, while the number of day visitors reached 143,233, a decrease of 5.9%.
The Central Bank of Jordan had indicated a decrease in tourism revenue by 27.2% during April of 2026, amounting to $517.1 million, mainly due to a decrease in tourism revenue from all nationalities.
In light of this, tourism revenue during the first four months of 2026 decreased by 10.4%, to reach $2.17 billion, compared to an increase of 15.3%, to reach $2.43 billion during the same period of 2025.
The data shows a decrease in tourism revenue during the first four months of 2026 from Jordanian expatriates by 19.5%, from American nationals by 17.1%, from Europeans by 13.1%, from Arabs by 3.3%, and from other nationalities by 13.2%.
The data also showed a decrease in tourism spending by Jordanians and residents abroad during the first four months of 2026 by 12.9%, amounting to $562.6 million, with April of 2026 recording a decrease of 33.7%, reaching $103.0 million.
Consequently, net tourism income during the first four months of 2026 decreased by 9.5%, to $1.61 billion.
