
Preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan showed that total remittances from workers coming into the Kingdom increased by 12.7% during the first two months of 2026, reaching $740.1 million.
Remittances from the Kingdom also increased by 11.9%, reaching $307.5 million. Data showed that the United Arab Emirates topped the list of countries sending remittances at 22.7%, followed by Saudi Arabia (19.0%), then the United States (18.3%), and Qatar (9.0%).
Conversely, Egypt ranked first as a destination for remittances originating from Jordan at 39.0%, followed by Bangladesh (12.6%), and then the Philippines (4.8%).
