Greater Amman Municipality: Road paving works in the capital worth 7 million dinars

The Greater Amman Municipality announced that it will implement a comprehensive and intensive campaign to pave a large number of residential neighborhoods and vital main streets in various areas of the capital, Amman, and that it is scheduled to begin implementing it during the coming weeks after two engineering tenders were issued with a total value of 7 million dinars.

The Executive Director of Roads at the Greater Amman Municipality, Engineer Suleiman Al-Shammari, confirmed that the implementation plan was based on the precise distribution of engineering and time routes, as the first tender was allocated to include the internal residential neighborhoods to carry out paving works during the “daytime period”, while the second tender was allocated to the vital and main streets to be worked on during the “nighttime period” in order to avoid causing any traffic jams during peak hours.

The Secretariat called on citizens and road users to cooperate with the technical and field staff who will work around the clock to complete all the work included in the two tenders according to the highest technical standards, and within a record time plan.

The Secretariat confirmed that the paving works plan will be implemented in coordination with the Traffic Department, to regulate traffic and prepare the necessary diversions at the sites, in order to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of road users.
