On Tuesday morning, the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission summoned MP Mustafa Al-Amawi to hear his statements based on statements he made that were circulated by media outlets and social media regarding his alleged statements about corrupt practices committed by MPs with the knowledge or assistance of former governments and ministers.
An official source in the commission said that listening to his statements lasted for more than three hours to verify what he claimed, which he could have provided to the commission or the relevant authorities by virtue of his position and status as a member of parliament.
The source added that the commission gave him until Wednesday to submit the documents he referred to in his statement and that he had in his possession regarding those practices.
