The contracts of 12 Al-Faisaly players have expired, and discussions are underway to select a new interim management team.

The Ministry of Youth is expected to begin consultations with Faisal figures in order to form a new temporary committee to manage the affairs of the Faisal Club.

This comes after the current committee, headed by Ahmed Wreikat, submitted its resignation during the session it held last Saturday. The legal term of the committee ends on the twenty-fourth of next month, in a move that opens the door to a new phase within the Blue Castle, the most prominent feature of which is preparing for the new season by concluding contracts with local and foreign players, renewing the contracts of players whose official commitments have ended, in addition to preparing for the elections of the club’s board of directors.

Information indicates that the ministry will face great difficulty in convincing individuals to join the new committee due to the difficult financial situation, while the vast majority of the committee members are expected to be ministry employees.

These developments come at a time when Al-Faisaly is experiencing one of its most difficult administrative and financial phases, despite its success in securing participation in the AFC Champions League 2, after a two-season absence from continental championships. The new committee faces complex challenges, starting with addressing the financial crisis and not ending with the issue of contracts and preparing a team capable of competing locally and in Asia.

Information indicates that the club's debt has exceeded 1.7 million dinars, while the first team players' dues for the past season have been outstanding for nearly three and a half months, and the first team's monthly bill is approaching 110 dinars, which puts the new administration in a difficult situation that requires quick solutions and significant support to avoid exacerbating the crisis.

Although Al-Faisaly has secured a return to the Asian stage, its fans realize that external participation requires financial, technical and administrative stability, especially since the team has been absent from the league title for three consecutive seasons, and from the Jordan Cup title for four seasons, which has led the “Blue Street” to demand a clear plan to return the leader to his natural place on the podiums of victory.

The players' file stands out as one of the most sensitive files within the club, especially with the expiration of the contracts of a large number of players, which requires the next administration to move quickly to resolve the files of renewal, dismissal and new contracts, in light of the limited time and the approaching date of preparations for the new season.

The list of players whose contracts with the team have ended includes: Abdul Jalil Ajaghoun, Muhammad Al-Hallaq, Muhammad Al-Hamrouni, Muhannad Khairallah, Jimmy Siaj, Abdullah Al-Zoubi, Omar Hani, Obaida Al-Samarna, Nour Bani Attia, Khaled Zakaria, Hadi Al-Hourani, and Muhammad Kaloob. These names are expected to undergo technical and administrative evaluation during the coming period to determine their future with the club.

On the other hand, the contracts of a number of players are still ongoing with the team, which gives the management and technical staff a base that can be built on, as the list includes Amin Al-Shana’ina, Hussam Abu Al-Dahab, Bashar Dhiabat, Ahmed Al-Arsan, Fadl Haikal, Majdi Al-Attar, Anas Badawi, Ahmed Yassin Al-Awawda, Hijazi Maher, Awn Al-Maharmeh, Abdul Rahman Al-Talalqa, and Qusay Al-Mansouri, in addition to a group of players under 23 years old who are expected to have a bigger role during the next stage.

Observers believe the current crisis isn't solely about finances or contracts, but rather the urgent need to rebuild the club's sporting and administrative structure, especially after years of technical instability and constant changes in coaching staff and players, which has directly impacted the team's results and performance. The new administration will also be tasked with restoring the fans' confidence, as they await concrete steps to revive the club's prestige and history. Al-Faisaly is the largest and most popular club in Jordan, boasting a rich history of achievements, which naturally keeps expectations high within the club.

The file of foreign professionals will also be among the files that will be reviewed, given the fans’ desire to see signings that make a real difference on the field, after the criticism that accompanied some of the choices during the last seasons.

The challenge is not limited to financial and technical aspects only, but extends to the need to create a state of administrative stability within the club, because the next stage requires quick and well-thought-out decisions, especially since the team will be required to enter strongly in all local championships, in addition to representing Jordanian football in an honorable manner in the Asian Championship.
